Village of

Clarendon Hills

The Village of Clarendon Hills is a well-established, affluent west suburban Chicago community located in eastern DuPage County, just west of I-294 and Route 83 and just south of I-88 and Ogden Avenue. Originally planned in the 1870s and later incorporated in 1924, the Village is home to approximately 8,500 people and more than 80 businesses.

In 2012, the Village was named the second-best place to live in the Chicago area by West Suburban Living. The Village offers a high quality of life for residents, including a low crime rate, top-rated schools, high average home values and vibrant downtown served by its Metra commuter rail station. The community also includes business districts along Ogden Avenue and 55th Street.

Clarendon Hills continues to renew itself through supporting investment and reinvestment in its neighborhoods and commercial districts. The Village, through its continuing planning efforts in downtown and within the Ogden Avenue TIF District, is committed to making ongoing improvements to its infrastructure and municipal services to ensure that Clarendon Hills continues to thrive long into the future. The Village remains proactive in pursuing development projects and opportunities that will promote it as a destination for new residents, businesses, shoppers and visitors while keeping true to its small town character and appeal.

The Village boasts a vibrant community life. A number of seasonal events take place throughout the year. Dancin’ in the Street, Daisy Days, Christmas Walk and Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony all take place in downtown Clarendon Hills and attract people from across the Village and beyond. These events also provide additional opportunities for businesses to interact with potential customers.

For businesses with a regional and global perspective, Clarendon Hills offers an ideal location for access to the Chicago region and beyond. The Village has convenient access to I-88, I-294, I-55 and I-355. In addition, the Village is located between O’Hare and Midway Airports, and the Metra station provides quick access to downtown Chicago.

The Village is committed to maintaining a forward-thinking, cooperative approach to real estate and business development while maintaining the demand for a high quality of life from our residents. The Village looks forward to working with developers, business owners and residents to find the right fit for you in our community.
