Home to 75 businesses housed in 35 buildings, the Village of Bartlett has a sophisticated network of connected businesses, suppliers, and associates in a specific field that are all located in the same geographical area, known as a business cluster. The Village of Bartlett is creating this type of occurrence at Brewster Creek Business Park, located just west of Route 59 along Stearns Road. Cheese Merchants of America recently relocated its highly successful business to Brewster Creek, joining Greco & Sons Foods, Rana Meal Solutions and Get Fresh Produce in the business park.Cheese Merchants is one of the largest cheese distributors in the state, just behind Kraft. The company processes and distributes a wide variety of cheese to numerous grocery stores and restaurants. Its new 277,000 square foot facility will help expand its manufacturing efficiencies and also enable it to begin aging cheese in-house. At one time, Brewster Creek Business Park was a depleted gravel pit. Today, by the Village utilizing Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to provide for infrastructure, over 70 businesses are located there and more than 1,500 employees work in a variety of jobs ranging from light manufacturing to high-tech research. With industrial sites of various sizes, rail accessibility, DuPage County taxes and excellent proximity to major commercial thoroughfares, the Brewster Creek Business Park is becoming a major draw for relocating and expanding companies, such as the food cluster that is emerging in the park. The Auto Truck Group, Midwest Molding, ITW Brands, Wittenstein North America, S&D Products, and many more strong companies make up the remainder of Brewster Creek.
